Quick reference guide for massage therapist

I found the pictures clear and easy to follow for guidelines to finding trigger points.The reference points are divided into muscle groups. Luckily the book is easy to flip through to find the symptoms. It would have been better to follow if they had a guide listing symptoms and then showing which muscles to go to.

New Chess player

I am totally new to the game of chess. I've had good luck with other "Dummies' books, so I thought I would give this one a try. In my opinion this book is easy reading and well written. The sections on getting to know the pieces and their powers was very good. I originally skimmed over the section on "Notation', but found you will need to be familiar with this as you progress through the book. One thing I found to be a little awkward was in several cases the written explanation of a series of moves was on one page and you'd have to turn there page to see the illustration showing it. It is helpful if you have a chess board and are able to move the pieces as you read the explanations (you'll need to know about 'notations' to do this.

Dor must use his magic and every other resource he possesses to help beat back an invading wave of mundanes and find a way to restore Millie's zombie lover to life back in the present.Turns out the Zombie Master is Millies zombie lover and ends up providing the cure for his own curse.

Punny very Punny

Punny very punny, as I have come to expect from Piers Anthony, in the Xanth series of books. I had read the first 2 books right after they were published. There weren't that many in the series then. I will be getting the rest of the series as I can. Just because they are written by him. I will also look into some of his other books as well.
To anyone who has a love of word play you will enjoy the Xanth series, although I had to look up some words to fully get the pun, and I thought that I was well read.
Silly me.

Xanth always an interesting read

I read this series years ago. I'm one who likes to read books over and over, so I ordered the first three books of the series for my KIndle. Piers Anthony is quite a writer. In the "Xanth" series, he is the king of "pun". This particular book of the series centers on Bink's son, Dor. Dor is beginning to grow up and needs a "mission". So between King Trent and Magician Murphy, they come up with the idea to send Dor into a tapestry hanging in Castle Roogna to find out the history of the castle. Inadvertantly, a spider happens to be in the wrong place at the right time, and it ends up as Dor's companion in a more "primative" time of Xanth. It is a fun read, with lots of interesting experiences for the immature Dor. I really liked this episode. We get an opportunity to meet several characters that we have met in earlier books of the series. I won't give any more away. This is a fun book to read, gives lots of history, and insight into the personalities of familiar characters. It is also fun to see Dor's responses to the realization that he needs to mature a bit more to experience aspects of adulthood. That sounds cryptic, I know; read the book and you'll understand what I mean.

I've read all of Piers Anthony's books and love them. I bought this book to read to my 6th grade students. I love the puns and the play on words that my students need to be exposed to this kind of word play. The only problem is the book is geared more for high school kids and has some mild sexual references where the male characters react like teenagers to meeting attractive women. I skip these parts.

Although described as a handbook, this work is more an encyclopedic description of 53 industrial process technologies for producing 18 different petrochemicals. Each process is described in a separate chapter by a different author or authors from one of 18 different companies from North America, Europe, or Japan. The descriptions are mostly brief (averaging 13 pages) and include the following information: general process description, process chemistry, process perspective, process description, product specifications, wastes and emissions, and process economics. The amount of detail varies, but the most common elements are the chemistry and flow diagram of each process, with other details being mostly of a qualitative or descriptive nature. The reader should be aware that there are many other large companies that have patented processes for a number of the chemicals included (notably absent is ICI, one of the largest, so the compilation should be considered representative rather than extensive. This excellent introduction and summary of typical plant operations is recommended as a valuable reference for any technical library that includes industrial chemistry and/or chemical engineering. Interesting, but lacking depth

This book promises a wealth of information for the process engineer interested in Petrochemical Processes. While it does contain a certain amount of useful information, useful for example as introductions to undergraduate Chemical Engineering courses on various of the topics covered, the information presented is not particulary in-depth. Some of the latter chapters on polymerization processes read a bit like the technical information you can find on company web sites rather that as chapters... OK, but not great.

Excellent!

This is a really wonderful book to start learning Kiswahili with. The explanations are clear and it is very attractively illustrated. My only (small) gripe is that there are no solutions for the exercises, which hampers independent study somewhat. However, this won't deter any serious student as the book does include a translation of all the dialogues,as well as all a vocabulary listing all the words used in the book. Highly recommended!

Very clear and helpful

I found this book easy to use and very clear on matters of grammar and pronunciation. The reading exercises advance at a nice pace, so you are continually challenged without being overwhelmed. I do agree with the other reviewer that more answers to the exercises would be really helpful for self-study. The dictionary section at the back is pretty thorough, though if you keep going past about the first half of the book, you will be interested in investing in a Swahili-English dictionary (probably Awde).

I used this book in addition to my classroom text in my Swahili course and I found it incredibly helpful. The grammar notes were especially helpful and the presentation of the very difficult noun classes was awesome! I would definitely recommend this as a supplement or even for the motivated independent student!!!!
