Muy informativo y esencial para mejorar la salud

Yo le� este libro en su versi�n en ingl�s y me pareci� que la informaci�n contenida era esencial para las personas que buscan una mejor dieta y mejorar su salud evitando aquellos alimentos que causan inflamaci�n y muchas complicaciones a causa del contenido del trigo. En vista de ello, decid� comprar esta versi�n en espa�ol para que la leyera mi madre, y ella est� muy agradecida por haber tenido acceso a esta informaci�n. 100% recomendable la informaci�n del doctor Davis, a quien vi en una oportunidad en el conocido show del Dr. Oz.

Como antecedentes personales, les puedo compartir que fui diagnosticada con PCOS y he pasado la mitad de mi vida tratando de lidiar con esta enfermedad. Recientemente he realizado un tratamiento hormonal con mi ginec�logo y obstetra y no solo han mejorado fisiol�gicamente mis ovarios (ya no se observan las caracter�sticas de un ovario poliqu�stico) sino que adem�s he perdido peso, ya no soy resistente a la insulina y me siento genial. La dieta que sigo, a instrucci�n de mi m�dico, no incluye trigo, aunque yo ya hab�a optado por eliminarlo de mi dieta cuando cambi� mis h�bitos alimenticios y opt� por seguir un estilo de vida paleol�tico.

Si desean informaci�n adicional que les sirva de referencia del porqu� las personas que comen al estilo paleo no ingieren granos y alimentos que inflaman el sistema digestivo, este es un libro ideal para empezar. As� como para todas aquellas personas que padecen diabetes y que usualmente se les recomienda comer granos integrales. Aqu� les explica el porqu� ese enfoque es errado.

Otras recomendaciones incluyen los libros del Dr. Amen, que tambi�n est�n disponibles en espa�ol. Espero que esta rese�a les sirva.

INFORMACI�N PARA EL EDITOR: Revisar cuidadosamente la ortograf�a. En la descripci�n del libro se utiliza la palabra prescindir, pero est� mal escrita. Adem�s, yo no he le�do la versi�n en espa�ol, pero siendo mi profesi�n la traducci�n, llam� mi atenci�n que en la contraportada se utilizar� la frase "grano de trigo entero" cuando lo usual es llamarlo trigo integral. Presumo, sin embargo, que el contenido del libro igualmente ser� �til a pesar de ello.

Si quieres sorprenderte lo facil y r�pido que es bajar de peso s�lo dejando el trigo, debes leerlo.

Excelente libro, muy bien explicado. El trigo de hoy en nada se parece al trigo de nuestros abuelos, incluso geneticamente es otro. El trigo de hoy est� matandonos silenciosamente. Yo dej� de comer todo lo que tuviera trigo y descubr� que adem�s era sensible al gluten, no cel�aca, sino que estoy en un rango intermedio entre ser positivo y negativo, algo de lo que se ha comenzado a hablar solo en los ultimos 5 a�os. Baj� de peso (10 kilos) en 3 meses, algo que nunca hab�a logrado con ninguna dieta. Junto con dejar el trigo en un 100%, disminu� la ingesta de papas y arroz, pero si solo se deja el trigo tambi�n se baja de peso. Adem�s estoy convencida que el trigo de hoy es en gran medida culpable de muchos c�nceres que hoy existen.
